Calling home is especially important of late, wot with Baby Ben on the scene. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind of late, visiting the USA and generally working, so I was dead pleased to finally catch him on Skype. It’s almost comical just how much the service has not improved in the last six years, since I was hooking up my point-and-shoot Fuji camera as a web cam, and talking with the folks and Granny in Taipei airport. It gives me vertigo just thinking back!
I’ll say it now, I’ll say it again, and I am sure I still won’t be quite satisfied – I really should work out how I can call home more often. In the mere space of a few weeks, he has started smiling and laughing, and I am missing out on all of it!
